Home from Hawaii

Hey Everyone!

We are home from Hawaii!! we had a blast and got really TAN!!! i cant wait to post pics! I hope everyone had a great time at the wedding! I know Tim and I did. I love all the pics that people have posted and sent me. I will be posting pics of Hawaii as soon as i clean my messy house and get some sleep. we arrived this morning at 6:30 am and left Hawaii yesterday at 2:30pm Hawaii time....so i am in need of some sleep. Timmy is crazy and went to work today...what a nut!! i don't go back to work till Thursday!!!! Okay time for some sleep and then cleaning the house and unpacking.

Guest List Finished!

We finally finished the guest list. I sent the final numbers to Heritage Hunt and there are 191 of you coming to the wedding! 191...that's a lot of people! And we are soo excited to see each and everyone of you!!! 9 more days!!! and the forecast says partly cloudy high of 64. And we are super excited to see the Cali family on the East Coast!!!

10 Days!!!

OMG!! 10 more days will we get married!!! We are so excited!!! Today we got our marriage license in leesburg, tons of fun. Timmy survived his Vegas bachelor party. and this weekend is my bachelorette party... i am so excited to hang out with all my girls and have tons of fun!!! The wedding stuff we are working on now is tables. Who knew decided who is going to sit with who could be so hard. but i will all come together by tonight i hope. We are also meeting with Joyce our officiant tonight to go over the ceremony stuff. And then this Friday i go to the hair salon to do a practice run of my hair...still haven't really decided what I am going to do with my hair but it will be awesome!!! But other then that we are all set to go. And we are super excited to go to HAWAII in 11 days!!!! I cant wait to be on the beach!! See you all in 10 days!! will try to blog more before the wedding but we'll see.

One Month To Go!!!

Hey everyone!!!

So I think I am the worst at blogging! Its been a really long time. But anyway...ONE MORE MONTH!!! YAYYY!!!! Busy time for us. But I wanted to take some time and give some information on where to stay and what to do while you are visiting if you are visiting from out of state. First off we do have some rooms reserved at the COUNTRY INN AND SUITES in Manassas, VA telephone number is 703-393-9797 and just tell them you would like to book a room for the LaFone/Alfaro Wedding. It is $84.00 a night for Friday and Saturday nights...its not too far from Heritage Hunt. I am not sure how many rooms we have but in case they run out there are LOTS of hotels in the area so if they run out of rooms let me know and I will see what I can do or we can give you names of other hotels in the area.

While you are here visiting depending on how long you are going to be here there is lots and lots to do. Shopping at Tyson's corner, visiting Washington DC, or going to the air and space museum in Chantilly. Just name it and you can probably do it.

So everyone should have gotten their invitations by now. If not let me know, I think some of them did not have enough postage..oopps...how was i supposed to know it was going to cost a $1 to send those bad boys. oh well just let me know email me or Timmy or call one of us.

So now for wedding stuff...everything is pretty much done. we have a meeting at the venue next week. we will be looking at food choices and table stuff...i just wanna taste food..haha. The cake has been ordered...yummy! We are still looking for favor ideas but I have a few already that I have in mind. So pretty much we are just counting the days till the BIG DAY!! We are really excited!!!

Quick Update

Hi Everyone!

I know its been about a week since I posted anything so let me tell you what is going on. We tasted cake and that went really well. Everything tasted soo good. I think we are going to go with Cakes by Happy Eatery in Centreville, VA. The flavors are going to be vanilla cake with Bavarian cream and fresh fruit and the other will be vanilla cake with Bavarian cream and chocolate. Its so yummy! We also ordered invitations last Saturday. I just saw the proofs today and they look awesome. I am not going to tell you what they look like you just have to wait and see. But I will tell you they are black and white. This weekend we are going to meet with the officiant. Hopefully all goes well. And I am sure it will. We might go to tux looking this weekend but I will leave that up to the fellas. Other stuff I signed the contract for the hotel and the hotel is Country Inns and Suites in Manassas, VA. I will have another post on hotel stuff for those of you who need a hotel for just a night and those who would like a hotel for longer with suggestions on where to stay and what to do. We still also have to go wedding ring shopping and we will probably be going to Mervis to get that done and i hope we do that sooner then later. I think that is enough for now. I am getting excited! 80 more days!

Our Honeymoon

We just booked our honeymoon!! Yay we are going to Hawaii! We are so excited and cant wait. We will be leaving the day after the wedding and flying to the Big Island of Hawaii and we will be staying at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel.We booked an oceanfront room so we will be right on the beach. The picture above is of the hotel and the beach. While in Hawaii we will be on the beach A LOT! Playing some golf (me attempting to play golf). We are also going to try to take a helicopter tour of the big island so we can see everything from the volcano's to the waterfalls. We are also going to try to go to Volcano's National Park. It is about a two hour drive but I think it will be totally worth it. If you have ever been to Hawaii and have some ideas on what we should do or where we should go please let us know we would really appreciate it. Thanks! Only 89 days to go!

Hi Everyone! I decided to start a blog about our wedding so everyone can keep up with what is going on with the plans. I hope you enjoy reading our blog. Right now everything seems to be going as planned. We have the venue, Heritage Hunt Golf and Country Club in Gainesville, VA. I have the dress, I cant tell you anything about that because I don't want Tim to find out what it looks like, duh! We have the bestest wedding planner ever, Myrna Grossman. We have the photographer, Rick Martin. And we have the DJ, BobbyG. The only stuff we really have left is to send out the invitations, get Tim and boys some suits to wear and the CAKE! We are going to taste cake on the 13th at Cakes by Happy Eatery! I can't wait to taste cake! We even know where we are going on our honeymoon. Will blog more about that later. The only other thing we are working on is the guest list. I think the guest list is the hardest part.
